Commodity-Wise Freight Revenue Earnings of Railways goes up by 12.43 Per Cent During April 2014-January 2015

The Indian Railways has generated Rs. 86009.27 crore of revenue earnings from commodity-wise freight traffic during April 2014-January 2015 as compared to Rs. 76501.01 crore during the corresponding period last year, registering an increase of 12.43 per cent. Railways carried 906.36 million tonnes of commodity-wise freight traffic during April 2014-January 2015 as compared to 866.14 million tonnes carried during the corresponding period last year, registering an increase of 4.64 per cent.
