A cheque for Rupees 48,90,000/- was presented today at New Delhi to Defence Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar by Director General Defence Estates (DGDE) Shri Ravi Kant Chopra as the contribution of the Defence Estates Organisation to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund. This amount was collected as voluntary contribution of the officers and staff of the Defence Estates Organisation towards relief efforts in Jammu & Kashmir which was recently devastated by floods.
