Funds for Skill Development

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy has said that the National Skill Development Fund (NSDF) was set up in 2009 by the Government of India for raising funds both from Government and Non Government sectors for skill development in the country. During 2013-14, NSDF received Rs. 1310 crore for Skilling, UDAAN and STAR schemes. Rs. 1074 crore in 2013-14 and 665 crore in 2014-15 were released from NSDF to National Skill Development Corporation for implementation of these schemes through public private partnership.
