Keeping its strong growth momentum, China’s telephone users hit a new record of 1.24 billion, while the numbers of 3G users touched 102 million.
China’s 3G mobile phone users reached 102 million by the end of September, 43.16 million of which used the country’s self-developed TD-SCDMA standard, said Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
Due to the fast increase of mobile phone users, China’s telephone users hit a new record high of 1.24 billion by the end of September, said Mr Xiao Chunquan, MIIT’s Director General of the Bureau of Operation Monitoring and Coordination.
