Monica Tata quits Turner

Ends a nine year term at the company

Monica Tata, GM - Entertainment Networks at Turner International India & South Asia, has decided to move on from the company after a 9-year stint.

Confirming the development to Business Standard, Tata said that she will be with Turner till the end of December this year.

She had joined Turner back in 2004 as Vice President - Advertising Sales. Earlier to that Tata was with Star India for almost 12 years.

Though she said that talks are on, it is understood that Tata will remain in the broadcasting space, "Its been almost nine years and I hope that new year will bring in new luck and new challenges.

At Turner, Tata was overseeing all network initiatives across Turner's entertainment brand portfolio in South Asia. Her mandate also included development, supervision and providing strategic direction to Turner's entertainment businesses including Cartoon Network, Pogo, WB and HBO.
