A group of anti-government protestors Sunday besieged Thai caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's residence in the capital.
They are part of Sunday's mass rally led by former deputy prime minister Suthep Thaugsuban to force Yingluck to resign from the caretaking post, Xinhua reported.
Spokesman of the anti-government People's Democratic Reform Committee Ekanat Prompan earlier put the turnout of protestors joining the rally at 2 to 3 million.
Yingluck is now outside Bangkok touring northeastern provinces.
The protestors are also planning to lay siege around a Bangkok stadium where candidates' registration for the upcoming Feb 2 elections will be held from Monday.
The major opposition Democrat Party, headed by former premier Abhisit Vejjajiva, resolved Saturday to boycott the elections.
The Pheu Thai Party, headed by Yingluck, is ready to field 125 party-listed candidates, party spokesman Prompong Nopparit was quoted by Bangkok Post as saying Sunday.
