Mikin Shah, 32, a faculty member with a coaching institute at Ahmedabad, topped the exams with 376 marks out of 400. Padaki Sagar Srinivas from Mumbai was ranked second with a score of 360. Among top 10, four students are from Mumbai. Other toppers are from Chandigarh, Bangalore and Gurgaon.
Nearly 1.45 lakh students appeared for CMAT across India, with girls comprising 35% of the test takers. From Maharashtra alone, over 56,000 candidates appeared, the highest amongst all states.
CMAT scores will be used to seek admission across B-schools in the country. This was the third edition of the CMAT exam. with around 1,90,000 students registering for CMAT so far and 3,75,000 seats available with B-schools, it remains to be seen how B-schools would fill the seats.
