Those who pass BEd were now eligible to teach till SSLC level only.
From the next academic year those who pass BEd would be eligible to teach in higher secondary levels, as per the norms set by AICTE, he said.

On other decision, he said 108 posts have been sanctioned for the functioning of Manjeri Medical College which got approval from Central Medical Council. The College would start functioning this year. It would give additional 100 medical seats under government quota in the state.
