CAT 2013 begins tomorrow

Testing window for entrance into 13 IIMs, along with over 100 other non-IIM B-schools to end Monday

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2013, the gateway to the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), begins tomorrow i.e. October 16, 2013 with first session at 10 am and second session at 3.15 pm. 

 

The testing window for the entrance test into 13 IIMs, along with over 100 other non-IIM B-schools, will end on Monday, November 11, 2013.

 

According to the IIMs, students need to report one and half hour before the test. Registrations for CAT dropped by 9.35 per cent, with just 194,000 candidates filling the form as against 214,000 last year. 

 

This year, CAT aspirants would be competing for nearly 3,300 seats in the 13 IIMs, after the B-schools added 115 seats.  The test will be conducted across test centres in 40 cities.

 

Women aspirant registrations are up to 29 per cent from 27 per cent in 2012, by data announced by the Indian Institutes of Management for CAT 2013.

 

Results for CAT 2013 will be announced on Tuesday, 14 January 2014.
