Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), which plans to move to its Rs 150 crore new campus by February next year, expects foreign students to join its courses from the academic year 2014-15.

The institute has the capacity to absorb 15 per cent foreign students, totalling 66 candidates, in its six PGDM programmes. It expects students from Africa, West Asia, Turkey, Malaysia and other southeast nations.

“We’re in consultations with the respective embassy officials of these countries to make IPE programmes popular among the students there,” said R K Mishra, director. On course fee, he said it would be in accordance with the  government’s guidelines.

It is also expecting recognition for its courses among the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) nations by the end of this calendar year. For 2014-15, IPE plans to introduce dual degree programmes, which allow students to do specialisations in other diploma programmes during their two-year PGDM. It also plans to start its own PhD programme with an intake of 40 students in 2014-15.

Admissions for 2014-15

The institute on Thursday announced the culmination of admissions for 2014-15. Its PGDM programmes include Retail and Marketing, Banking, Insurance and Financial Services, International Business and Human Resource Management.
