In a first, University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management has waived the GMAT test requirement for applicants who have passed all three levels of the CFA programme.

These candidates can seek direct admission to its Full-Time and Part-Time MBA programmes.

“An increasing number of applicants want to earn both a CFA and an MBA. We understand that taking the GMAT test can be a ‘barrier’ stopping some who have passed all three levels of the CFA program from applying to business school,” says Niki da Silva, who is Director, Recruitment & Admissions, Full-Time MBA, at the Rotman School.

“As one of the leading b-schools for teaching and research in the area of finance, the pool of CFA candidates is a strong source of talent for Rotman. With this change, we hope to make it easier for this group of qualified candidates to apply to our program,” added da Silva.
