Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University plans to set up its third campus in the country near Bengaluru. The new campus would start functioning in the next one year, according to top management of the institute.

"We see a very good opportunity to set up our campus there. It has an advantage as more than 300 top companies in the world have their offices in Bengaluru," said G Viswanathan, founder & chancellor of VIT University.

The campus would be developed on 100-acre in the suburbs of Bengaluru.
