The candidates for the programme will be selected based on the scores secured in Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), CAT (Common Admission Test, Graduate Management Admission Test, said Father Paul Fernandes, Director, XIM-B.
The students have to qualify a quality cut off parameter after two years of MBA for pursuing the Phd, he added.
The basic criteria will be decided by the doctoral committee formed for the purpose.
XIM-B has identified seven to eight areas of management like CSR management, rural management, business management, public policy management for Phd enrolment.
Presently, XIM-B provides two-year full-time programme for Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), two-year full-time programme for Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Human Resources) (PGDM-HRM), three-year part-time programme for Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM-PT) for working executives, two-year full-time programme for Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDM-RM), doctoral-level Fellow Programme in Management (FPM).
Recently, the premier B-School had increased the duration of its Global management programme to two years from one year.
The full-time Global MBA leadership programme, which is being offered from this academic session has three terms in each year. The first year will be in the three-continent Master of Global Management (3C-MGM) format, spanning Asia, Europe and USA. In the following year, the students will study at the Xavier University comprising three terms.
