Almond declines on sluggish demand

Almond prices fell by Rs 50 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to sluggish demand from stockists and retailers.  

Adequate stocks following increased arrivals from overseas markets also put pressure on the prices.

Almond (California) prices fell by Rs 50 to Rs 9,700 per 40 kg, while its kernel eased by Rs 3 to Rs 335-345 per kg.  

Traders attributed the fall in almond prices to reduced offtake by stockists and retailers.

Meanwhile, prices of other dry fruits ruled steady on scattered deals.
