Almond falls on subdued demand

Almond prices dropped by Rs 100 per kg in the national capital today owing to subdued demand, against increased arrivals from the overseas markets.

Almond (California) prices declined by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 9,700 per 40 kg, while its kernel fell by Rs 5 to finish at Rs 340-345 per kg.

Traders attributed fall in almond prices to increased supplies against sluggish demand at prevailing levels.
