Almond prices rose by Rs nine to Rs 337.75 per kg in futures market today, largely influenced by increased demand in the spot market.

Restricted arrivals from overseas market also spurred the rise in the prices.

At the Multi commodity Exchange, almond for the September month contract rose by Rs nine or 2.73 per cent to Rs 337.75 per kg in trading volume of nine lots.

Market analysts attributed the firmness in almond futures trade to increase in demand in the spot market against restricted arrival from overseas markets.
