Ambuja Cements has gained 8% to Rs 82. Bhel has advanced 5.6% to Rs 1,382. HDFC has surged 3.9% at Rs 2,101. HDFC Bank is up 3.7% to Rs 1,130.
Bharti has gained 3.3% to Rs 777. ACC and Cipla have advanced 3% to Rs 616 and Rs 211, respectively.
NTPC, Reliance, Jaiprakash Associates, DLF, Tata Steel, L&T, M&M, SBI, Infosys and TCS are the other gainers.
Tata Motors and ITC have lost 1.5% to Rs 512 and Rs 201, respectively. Hindustan Unilever is down 1.1% to Rs 234. Reliance Communications has slipped 0.8% to Rs 550 and Maruti and Grasim have lost less than half per cent.
