Asian markets end in red

The Hang Seng dropped 285 points to 11,555. The Nikkei tumbled 233 points to 8,494.



The Shanghai Composite shed 4 points to 2,401.

The Taiwan Weighted Index declined 108 points to 5,596 and the Seoul Composite fell 40 points to 1,300.

The Straits slipped 14 points to 1,805.

Asian markets are now all down after having started the day on a mixed note.

The Hang Seng has declined 205 points (1.5%) to 14,636. The Nikkei has dropped 183 points (2%) to 8,544.

The Shanghai Composite has fallen 28 points (1%) to 2,377.  The Straits Times has slipped 16 points (1%) at 1,802.

The Taiwan Weighted has shed 108 points (2%) to 5,597. The Seoul Composite has dropped 36 points (3%) to 1,303.

 Asian markets are mixed today.

The Hang Seng has added 205 points (1.5%) to 15,046. The Nikkei has advanced 39 points to 8,765.

The Shanghai Composite has fallen five points to 2,401.  The Straits Times has gained three points at 1,822.

On the other hand, the Taiwan Weighted has declined 49 points (1%) to 5,656. The Seoul Composite is flat at 1,340.
