Asian markets end in red, Hang Seng sheds 544pts

Asian markets ended mostly in the red today.

The Hang Seng declined 544 points to 21,050. The Nikkei, however, added 173 points to 10,544.

The Shanghai Composite gained 10 points at 2,853.

The Straits Times was down 15 points to 2,670. The Seoul Composite slipped 17 points to 1,693.

The Taiwan Weighted shed 52 points to 7,324.

Hang Seng is quoting at 21,169, down 427 points or 1.98%.Shanghai is at 2,837, down 6.1 points or 0.22%, Straits Times is 0.41% lower at 2,675.00 and Taiwan markets have shed 0.49% and are now trading at 7,341.
Nikkei is, however, in the positive at 10,549, up 177.88 points or 1.72%.
