Asian markets end mixed

The Hang Seng declined 82 points to 17,708.

The Nikkei was marginally down at 9,287.

The Shanghai Composite dropped nine points to 3,114.

The Straits Times and the Seoul Composite were flat at 2,307 and 1,428, respectively.

However, the Taiwan Weighted advanced 21 points to 6,769.

Asian markets are flat in mid day trades.

Japanese stocks fell on the back of increasing deflation and wholesale prices, even as global markets gained following an encouraging US jobs data. The Nikkei has recoevred marginally and is now up 13 points at 9,304. The Hang Seng has added 20 points to 17,811.

The Taiwan Weighted has moved up 22 points to 6,770. The Shanghai Composite is up 14 points at 3,137.

The Straits Times and the Seoul Composite are flat at 2,313 and 1,428, respectively.

The Hang Seng has slipped 99 points to 17,692.

The Nikkei is down marginally at 9,287.

The Shanghai Composite has dropped 21 points to 3,102.

The Straits Times is down seven points at 2,300 and the Seoul Composite has declined 12 points to $1,418.

The Taiwan Weighted index on the other hand added six points at 6,7754.
