Asian markets end -ve; Hang Seng sheds 2%

Asian markets ended on a subdued note.

The Hang Seng shed 2% to 19,522. and the Nikkei plunged over 2% to 10,281.

The Straits Times dropped 1% to 2,570 and the Seoul Composite Index  was marginally down at 1,613, down nine points.

The Shanghai Composite on the other hand added 1% to 2,715 and the Taiwan Weighted Index was up at 7,040, up twenty points.

Asian markets have continued to trade in red.

The Hang Seng has slipped 314 points (1.5%) to 19,558. The Nikkei has dropped 266 points (2.5%) to 10,264.

The Straits Times has dipped 27 points (1%) to 2,570. The Seoul Composite is down 10 points at 1,613.

However, the Taiwan Weighted has added 31 points to 7,051. The Shanghai Composite is flat at 2,687.

The Asian markets have opened on a negative note barring the Shanghai Composite and the Taiwan Weighted Index.

The Hang Seng has shed 308 points (1.5%) to 19,553.

The Nikkei has plunged 268 points (2.5%) to 10,262.

The Straits Times has declined 23 points (1%) to 2,527 and the Seoul Composite is marginally down at 1,613.

The Shanghai Composite on the other hand has advanced 27 points (1%) to 2,711 and the Taiwan Weighted Index is flat at 7,031.
