Asian markets end with smart gains; Hang Seng up 2%

The Asian markets ended with decent gains.

The Hang Seng advanced 2% to 21,014. The Taiwan Weighted Index added 2% to 7,430.

The Straits Times was up 1% at 2,665 and the Seoul Composite moved 1% at 1,690.

The Shanghai Composite only ended marginally red at 2,754.

Asian markets are mostly in the green today. The Hang Seng has surged 464 points (2.2%) to 21,052. The Nikkei has added 62 points to 10,072.

The Taiwan Weighted has gained 136 points (2%) at 7,421. The Straits Times has advanced 42 points (1.5%) to 2,671. The Seoul Composite has moved up 15 points (1%) to 1,690.

However, the Shanghai Composite has slipped 41 points (1.5%) to 2,723.

Asian markets are in the green this morning. The Hang Seng has surged 411 points (2%) to 20,999. The Nikkei has added 95 points (1%) to 10,105.

The Taiwan Weighted has rallied 145 points (2%) to 7,430. The Straits Times has gained 37 points (1.5%) at 2,666.

The Seoul Composite is up 14 points (1%) at 1,689. The Shanghai Composite is flat at 2,767.
