Asian markets open flat, albeit positive

The Asian markets have opened flat, with a positive bias.

The Nikkei is at 10, 106, up 0.07% or six points. The Seoul Composite is at 1,700, up 0.6% or 10 points. The Taiwan is at 7,515, up 1.16% or 85 points. The Shanghai is at 2,776, higher by 0.8% or 22 points.

However, the Hang Seng is at 20,917, down 0.2% or 41 points,  and Straits Times is down 0.1% or five points at 2,658.
