Asian markets open flat; Hang Seng up 97pts

The Asian markets have opened on a flat note.

The Hang Seng has soared 97 points at 21,839. The Nikkei is down nine points at 9,995.

The Shanghai Composite Index is marginally up 13 points at 3,252.

The Straits Times is down 13 points at 2,783 and the Taiwan Weighted Index has declined 24 points at 7,774.

The Seoul Composite Index is flat at 1,627.
