Asian markets rally; Nikkei up 226pts
Asian markets have rallied smartly this morning.
The Hang Seng has surged 276 points to 22,162. The Nikkei has rallied 226 points to 13,394.
The Taiwan Weighted index has gained 104 points at 7,313. The Straits Times index is up three points at 2,837, and the Seoul Composite index has added 17 points to 1,586.
The Shanghai Composite index has slipped 26 points to 2,580.
