Asian markets still in red; Hang Seng down 585pts

The Hang Seng  has shed over 3.5% (585 points) at 15,165.  The Nikkei has dipped over 2% (205 points) at 8,720.

The Shanghai Composite has fallen over 1% at 2,527. The Straits Times has shed around 3% at 1,823. The Seoul Composite has slipped marginally (seven points) at 1,330.

However, the Taiwan Weighted has bucked the trend and is up 1% at  5,856.

The Asian markets are down significantly this morning.

The Hang Seng has declined around 3.5% (549 points) at 15,202. The Nikkei has dropped 3.3% (299 points) to 8,625.

The Strait Times has shed 3% at 1,818. The Seoul Composite and Taiwan Weighted have fallen over 1% each at 1,319 and 5,723, respectively.

The Shanghai Composite has slipped marginally (14 points) to 2,544.
