The stock of plastic products maker has rallied 21% in past one week from Rs 265 on December 11 compared to 1.64% decline in benchmark S&P BSE Sensex.
On December 12, the company said it has been awarded Business Standard Star SME (small and medium enterprises) of the year 2013.
The growth story of the company with its continuous expanding and building its production capacity impressed by the Jury to win this award, Astral Poly Technik said in a regulatory filing.
The company had reported a robust 60% year-on-year (yoy) growth in net profit at Rs 16.21 crore on back of strong 27% yoy jumped in net sales at Rs 256 crore for the quarter ended September 2013.
Meanwhile, the stock is one of the best performing scrip among the small-cap stocks has zoomed 127% so far in the current calendar year 2013. The BSE small-cap index has fall 16%, while benchmark 7.1% during the year.
