Aurobindo Pharma rises on USFDA nod for Metronidazole tablets

The stock opened at Rs 1,380 and touched high of Rs 1,399 on the NSE.

Shares of Aurobindo Pharma have gained nearly 2% to Rs 1,387 on the NSE after the drug maker received USFDA approval for Metronidazole tablets of 250 mg and 500 mg dosages.

Metronidazole Tablets are used to treat different types of infections which are due to particular types of bacteria and some other infectious organisms, or to prevent infection during an operation.

The stock opened at Rs 1,380 and touched high of Rs 1,399 on the NSE. A combined 510,700 shares changed hands on the counter on the NSE and BSE.
