Barley declines in lacklustre trade

Barley prices declined by Rs 20 per quintal in lacklustre trade in the wholesale grains market today on sluggish demand. 

Traders said sluggish demand from consuming industries mainly led to the decline in barley prices.

In the national capital, barley lost Rs 20 to Rs 1,140-1,165 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal: 

Wheat MP (deshi) 1,580-1,730, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,200-1,205 Chakki atta (delivery) 1,215-1,220, atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 175, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 175, Roller flour mill 640-660 (50 kg), Maida 750-780 (50 kg) and Sooji 800-835 (50 kg)

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 9,500, Shri Lal Mahal 9,300, super basmati rice 9,000, Basmati common 5,400-5,500, rice Pusa-(1121) 4,300-5,100, Permal raw 1,800-1,850, Permal wand 1,950-2,050, Sela 2,100-2,150 and Rice IR-8 1,700-1,750

Bajra 940-950, Jowar yellow 900-970, white 1,725-1,825, Maize 1,120-1,130, Barley 1,140-1,165 and Rajasthan 1,080-1,090
