Bharti Infratel falls after block deals

About 12 million shares or 0.65% of total equity capital of Bharti Infratel have changed hands on NSE via block deals.

Bharti Infratel has dipped 5% to Rs 188 in early morning trades on back of heavy volumes on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

About 12.10 million shares representing 0.65% of total equity capital of Bharti Infratel have changed hands on opening trade via block deal, the NSE data shows. However, the name of the buyers and sellers are not immediately known.

According to Bloomberg report, GS Strategic, an investment arm of Goldman Sachs, offers 12 million Bharti Infratel shares at as much as 6% discount to yesterday’s close. The stock closed at Rs 198 on the NSE on Monday.

At 1020 hours, the stock is trading lower by 1.3% at Rs 195 on the NSE. A combined 12.4 million shares changed hands on the NSE and BSE.
