Broader markets underperform; BSE Mid-cap index dips over 1%
Shares of companies exporting to Europe such as Motherson Sumi and Bharat Forge were among the top losers
SI Reporter Mumbai The broader markets continued to underperform the benchmark share indices in noon trades on Monday as investors booked profits in the broader markets.
At 1:25PM, the BSE Mid-cap index was down 1.3% at 10,226 while the Small-cap index was down 0.8% at 10,522.
Shares of export-led companies with exposure to Europe were among the top losers with Motherson Sumi Systems and Bharat Forge emerging as the top losers down 5% each.
Mid-cap pharma stocks were also among the top losers with Divis Labs, Wockhardt Pharma, Cadilla Healthcare, Aurobindo Pharma and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals down 1-3.5% each.
Other mid-cap losers include, Container Corporation, Bajaj Finserv, Shriram Transport Finance, Godrej Consumer Products, GMR Infrastructure and Apollo Hospitals down 3-4% each.
