Cardamom futures fell further by 0.62% to Rs 672.50 per kg today, as traders reduced their holdings due to subdued demand in the spot markets amid adequate stocks on higher supply from the producing belts.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for January contract declined by Rs 4.20, or 0.62%, to Rs 672.50 per kg with a business turnover of 204 lots.

The spice for delivery in December fell by Rs 703.20, or 0.46%, to Rs 703.20 per kg with a trading volume of 29 lots.

Market analysts said off-loading of positions by speculators driven by weak trend at spot market due to subdued demand mainly put pressure on cardamom futures.
