Continuing a downward journey, cardamom futures prices fell by 2.17% to Rs 675 per kg today as speculators trimmed positions amid adequate stocks following increased arrivals from producing belts in the physical market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract fell by Rs 15, or 2.15%, to Rs 675 per kg in 80 lots.

Likewise, the June contract declined by Rs 9.30, or 1.21%, to Rs 754.80 per kg in 750 lots.

Market analysts said besides subdued demand, increased arrivals from producing regions, mainly kept pressure on the cardamom prices at futures trade.
