Cardamom, poppy seed weaken on subdued demand

In restricted activity, cardamom small and poppy seed prices declined up to Rs 30 per kg on the wholesale kirana market today on adequate stocks against subdued demand.

Traders said adequate stocks against subdued demand mainly led to fall in cardamom small and poppyseed prices. 

In the national capital, cardamom small varieties such chitridar, colour robin, bold and extra bold prices were down by Rs 30 each to Rs 1,100-1,180, Rs 1,150-1,170, Rs 1,180-1,190 and Rs 1,300-1,320 per kg, respectively.

Poppy seed (Turkey), (MP-RAJ) and (Kashmiri) were also traded lower by Rs 15 each to Rs 200,Rs 200-250 and Rs 185 per kg, respectively.
