Cardamom up 1.8% on spot demand

Restricted arrivals from producing regions also supported the rise in prices, traders said.

Cardamom prices rose by 1.89% to Rs 703 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions amid low stocks.
    
Besides, restricted arrivals from producing regions also supported the rise in prices, traders said.
     
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in June rose by Rs 13.10, or 1.89%, to Rs 703 per kg, with a business volume of 1,086 lots.

Cardamom for July delivery rose by Rs 5.80, or 0.80%, to Rs 726 per kg, with a business volume of 841 lots.
     
Traders said pick-up in spot demand against restricted arrivals from producing regions led to a rise in cardamom futures prices.
