Cashew prices down on sluggish demand

Cashew prices fell marginally by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today due to sluggish demand from retailers and stockists. Adequate stocks position followed by increased arrivals from the producing belts also led to a fall in cashew prices.

Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 320) prices declined by Rs 5 each to settle at Rs 480-485, Rs 455-465, Rs 370-380 and Rs 355-365 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said sluggish demand from retailers and stockists, mainly led to a fall in cashew kernel prices at the wholesale dry fruits market.
