Caustic soda rises on fresh buying

Caustic soda prices rose by Rs 100 per 50 kg in the national capital today largely influenced by buying support from detergent and other consuming units.

Caustic soda flake rose by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 1,450-1,550 per 50 kg. 

Traders said fresh demand from detergent and other consuming units against tight supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up caustic soda prices in the wholesale chemical market.
