Cautious opening seen at D-Street on Brexit fears

Weakness in global equities amid decline in crude oil prices will dictate the trend

Markets are likely to see a cautious opening mirroi8ng weakness in the Asian shares as participants remain edgy on worries regarding a UK referendum that could push Britain out of the European Union.

Meanwhile, Food prices have flared up over declining output after two years of drought and with new arrivals still a few months away. Sugar, pulses and wheat have seen a decline in production from the previous season and traders are estimating an output lower than the government’s earlier projections.

GLOBAL MARKET

Asian equities are trading cautiously as participants remain edgy on worries regarding a UK referendum that could push Britain out of the European Union. Meanwhile, decline in the crude oil prices and a weak finish on the Wall Street dampened sentiments.

Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and China’s Shanghai Composite dropped between 0.3%-0.6%. 

Crude oil declined from a 10-month high in New York, as a stronger dollar countered a rally driven by tightening global supplies.

STOCKS

Reliance Communications (RCom) is set to launch 4G services on its own across India in phases, starting mid-August from the key circles of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and will gradually leverage its sharing agreement with Reliance Jio Infocomm as clearances come through. 

TVS Automobile Solutions Limited (TVS ASL), an aftermarket player and part of TVS Group, has made around Rs 75 crore investments in three start-ups (e-commerce, Big Data / Analytics & CRM and Internet of Things) to form a start-up ecosystem for its digital initiatives

Realty firm Unitech's sales bookings increased 16% to Rs 963 crore last fiscal on higher realisation from non-residential segment.

Yes Bank: on Thursday informed the exchanges that it has executed a share subscription and shareholders' agreement, agreeing to subscribe to 20 lakh equity shares of Receivables Exchange of India (RXIL). 

ITC has forayed into the dairy whitener market with its Sunfresh brand, its second offering in dairy business, after it opened its innings in this space last October with packaged ghee. 

A unit of Indian auto parts maker Motherson Sumi Systems raised $300 million (Rs 2,000 crore) via a global bond sale, in part to support its expansion in North America. 

Sadbhav Infrastructure Project has informed BSE regarding receipt of provisional completion certificate for 86.00 km. out of total 87.25 km. and start of toll collection in Bhilwara-Rajsamand Tollway Private Limited.
