Chilgoza, pistachio decline on sluggish demand

Prices of chilgoza and pistachio declined up to Rs 100 per kg on the wholesale dry fruits market today on slackened demand against adequate supply. 

Elsewhere, other dry fruits after trading in a tight range in thin trading, settled around previous closing levels. Sluggish demand mainly pulled down prices of chilgoza and pistachio prices, traders said.

In the national capital, chilgoza fell by Rs 100 to Rs 1,500-1,600 per kg. Pistachio Irani and Hairati were down by Rs 25 each to Rs 800-825 and Rs 1,025-1,150, while pistachio dodi (roasted) shed Rs 20 to Rs 530-615 per kg.
