Claris Lifesciences gains on special dividend
The board of the company will meet on February 23 to consider and recommendation of dividend if any, for the year ended December 31, 2012.
Claris Lifesciences has moved higher 5% to Rs 197 in noon deals on hopes the pharmaceutical would soon announce a dividend payout.
“The board of directors of the company will meet on February 23, 2013, to consider and recommend of dividend if any, for the year ended December 31, 2012,” Claris Lifesciences said in a statement.
The company recently sold its infusion business, on a slump basis, for Rs 1,050 crore said that out of the net proceeds it plans to utilize Rs 300 crore towards a special dividend or buyback of shares.
Meanwhile, the board will also consider and take on record the annual audited financial results of the company for the year ended December 31, 2012, it added.
The stock opened at Rs 188 and hit a high of Rs 198 on BSE. Around 33,000 shares have already changed hands on the counter till 1332 hours against an average 37,000 shares that were traded daily in past two weeks.
