Black pepper
Black pepper prices are currently trading at Rs 62,970 a quintal. Arrivals of new crop continue and are expected to increase, going ahead, which would keep prices under pressure. Prices are expected to trade lower towards Rs 62,400 a quintal in the coming days.
Mustard seed
Mustard seed prices at Jaipur spot markets are trading at Rs 3,943 a quintal. In the coming days, prices are expected to head towards Rs 3,850. Pressure on account of new crop arrivals is expected to gather momentum, amid sharp increase in production prospects for the season to the tune of over 15 per cent. New crop arrivals are expected to increase to over 600,000 bags per day from around 400,000 bags currently.
