Cottonseed oil cake prices declined by Rs 21 to Rs 1,323 per quintal in futures trade today as traders offloaded their holdings, driven by weak spot market demand.
Marketmen said sluggish demand and increased supply in physical markets put pressure on futures prices of cottonseed oil cake.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake prices for far-September delivery slipped by Rs 21, or 1.56%, to Rs 1,323 per quintal, with an open interest for 2,310 lots.
The most actively traded June cottonseed oil cake contracts also declined by Rs 20, or 1.72%, to Rs 1,142 per quintal, with an open interest for 85,170 lots.
