Crompton Greaves fixes record date for dividend

Crompton Greaves, part of Avantha Group, has fixed the record date for payment of interim dividend. Investors holding company's shares as on October 25, 2011 will be eligible to receive dividend payments. The date of payment is November 4, 2011.

Shares of the electrical appliances maker are under pressure for over a month now, which had a free fall ever since it came down Rs 200 a share.

On the Bombay Stock Exchange, stocks of Crompton Greaves closed firm in a strong market today at Rs 152.55, up 2.2%.
