Tracking weakening global trend, crude oil futures prices declined by Rs 10, or 0.24 per cent to Rs 3,760 per barrel in today on speculators offloading part of their holdings.
At the Multi Commodity exchange platform, crude oil for delivery in January declined by Rs 10, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 3,760 per barrel, with a business turnover of two lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in December lost Rs 9, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 3,716 per barrel, with a business volume of 11 lots.
Market analysts said positions reduced by speculators in tandem with weakening global trend, mainly led to a fall in crude oil futures prices.
Meanwhile, the crude oil prices shed 21 cents to $82.33 a barrel in New York last evening.
