Crude palm oil down 0.1% on low demand

Oil for delivery in December traded lower by 0.09%

Crude palm oil prices slipped 0.18% to Rs 548.40 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced positions driven by sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in January shed Re one, or 0.18% to Rs 548.40 per 10 kg in business turnover of 147 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in December traded lower by 50 paise, or 0.09% to Rs 540.80 per 10 kg in 202 lots.

Analysts said subdued demand at spot markets against adequate stocks, triggered offloading of positions by speculators, leading to a fall in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
