DLF rallies on heavy volumes

The stock has rallied 6% to Rs 135 on the National Stock Exchange.

DLF has rallied 6% to Rs 135 in noon deals on back of heavy volumes on the bourses. The stock opened at Rs 129 and touched high of Rs 136 on the NSE. A combined nearly 13 million shares have change hands on the counter till 1400 hours against an average around 10 million shares that were traded daily in past two weeks on NSE and BSE.

According to Times of India reports the real estate giant is planning to monetize its assets worth Rs 900 crore by selling its southern projects to the developer arm of Shriram Group. The move marks continuation of the realty giant strategy to hive off non core asset to trim its outstanding debt of Rs 21,000 crore.
