Dow sheds 156pts on profit taking
US markets ended down on Monday due to profit taking at higher levels.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 156 points (2%) at 8,419. The Nasdaq was flat at 1,731.
Indian ADRs were down - Sterlite plunged 7% to $9.62. Satyam and Wipro tumbled 5% each to $1.85 and $9.92, respectively.
Tata Communications declined 4% to $22.07. ICICI Bank shed 3.5% at $21.66. Dr Reddy's, HDFC Bank, Genpact, MTNL and Tata Motors dropped 1-2% each.
However, Patni Computers advanced 2.5% to $8.08.
