Dow up for 5 straight days; Nasdaq flat

The Dow Jones ended 0.37% higher on Friday at 8744 points, while the Nasdaq gained 0.1% to 1886 points.

So far, earnings are better than expected, and a large number of companies will report earnings next week.

Among ADRs, Satyam was a big gainer at 7%. ICICI Bank was up 3.8%. Other software stocks like Infosys and Wipro gained around 3%.
