EoW visited NSEL offices, files first FIR

Searches Financial Technologies tower where NSEL offices are based

Economic offense wing (EoW) of Mumbai Police today filed the first FIR in the NSEL management scam. EoW personals also searched the 4th floor of Andheri based FT tower where NSEL offices are based. EoW has converted the complaint filed by the NSEL against its former MD and other senior management officials who have been removed from the duty following the NSEL fiasco and default by its borrowers.

Police also converted the affidavit filed by the anjani Sinha who had been removed from duty post the exchange’s default. Anjani in his affidavit had alleged some of the officials had taken personal benefits and allowed the borrowers to take money.
 

Further details of whet EoW found after visit to the NSEL office are awaited while there were rumours that the residences of jignesh shah, promoter of the FT group of which NSEL is the subsidiary and Joseph messy who was director on the NSEL board have been searched by the police but both could not be confirmed.
