F&O Update: Nifty calls continues to see unwinding

The Nifty August futures are trading at a marginal premium of a point at 4,376. The Nifty August futures has seen trades of over 1.20 lakh contracts and the open interest has gone down by 5.15 lakh shares to 3.15 crore shares.

The Nifty September futures are trading at a marginal discount of five points and has seen trades of 37,640 contracts with net addition of 30.26 lakh shares in open interest to 73.77 lakh shares.

The NSE spot Nifty is up 48 points at 4,375.

CALL ACTION

The Nifty 4,400 call is the most active counter with trades of around 41,200 contracts so far. The 4,400 call open interest has declined by 78,750 shares to 31 lakh shares.

It is followed by 4,300 and 4,500 calls with trades of around 17,700 and 12,230 contracts, respectively. The 4,300 call open interest has gone down by over two lakh shares to 19 lakh shares, and the 4,500 call open interest is down by 1.20 lakh shares to 38.78 lakh shares.

The 4,400 call has seen trades of 4,500 contracts and the open interest has declined by 85,500 shares to 35.87 lakh shares.

PUT ACTION

The 4,400 and 4,300 puts are the most actively traded contracts with trades of around 22,800 and 17,800 contracts, respectively so far. The 4,400 put open interest has increased by 2.84 lakh shares to 29.83 lakh shares, and the 4,300 put has seen net addition of 26,900 shares in open interest to 30.57 lakh shares.

The 4,300 put has seen trades of around 9,200 contracts and the open interest has decreased by 26,000 shares to 25.36 lakh shares. The Nifty September 4,300 put has seen trades of around 5,300 contracts and the open interest has increased by nearly two lakh shares to nearly 11 lakh shares.
